Most of you reading this blog know me already. I’m a 49-year old father of three turkeys - aged 11, 14 and 15 - married to a beautiful, kind, loving, patient and intelligent woman named Kristen for the past nineteen years. I’ve always been pretty conscious about my health but nothing could have prepared me for the news I received in July 2018, when we learned that I have Grade IV Glioblastoma. After having spent so much time texting and emailing people around us, Kristen and I thought it was high time to create this blog as a means of keeping everyone updated along the journey. I may have had to shave my beard for my surgery (much to my oldest child's chagrin) but just like me, it's on its way back, and it's not going anywhere.
